Having problems with texts width when viewed in Firefox

Tags: #text #firefox #width #paragraphs

I My site is OK when viewed in Chrome and Safari, but in Firefox, the width of paragraphs is becoming very long and all is displayed wrong.

I need a clue where to look to fix. I have not , or very little knowledge of HTML code. So I rely on the DW CS5 interface.

Thanks,D.

    Your page width is simply to wide for average desktop displays.  I would confine the page width to 1000px and center it with CSS like this:

    body {

         font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;

         font-size: 100%;

         color: #FFFFFF;

         font-weight: bold;

         width:1000px;

         margin:0 auto;

    }

    Also reduce the width of your tables.   Not that tables are needed for any of this...  CSS layouts are much better .

    It goes without saying that your images are also too big for the web.  You need to resize them in Photoshop and Save for web as optimized JPGs.  Use the smallest file size you can get away with to reduce bandwidth & improve page performance.  Users don't like it when sites contain huge image files.
