Unknown Error while trying to sync muse

After entering my password to syn Muse with the online site, it simply says 'unknown error'.  I tried deactivtating and reactivating Muse.  Then I messed with the firewall to make sure Muse had access.  I tried turning off the firewall.  Nother worked and I keep getting the same unknown error.  I'm a new user and I inherited this site from someone else. Thanks for any advice.

could you please provide the complete error message, also, did you try to close and restart Muse?

I have closed and restarted Muse to no effect.  I have not tried reinstalling it though. Thanks for your help.
