Part of the settings of a site definition are what is the path to the local
site folder on THAT computer.
is that setting correct?
I set that in Manage Sites. The folder and its contents show up in the Files window. When I upload a file the contents of the folder disappear. To get it to show again I have to go back to Manage Sites. The file I try to upload does not upload although it appears to do so.
When I edit the site in Manage Sites the correct path is shown there although the folder that shows in the Files window is empty until I reset it and it creates a cache.
I did upgrade to CS4 but that hasn't solved my problem.
Extremely frustrated... Betty

When you hover over the New site button in the Define Sites dialog box, it
gives you a choice of SITE and RDS
pick SITE
You've created an RDS site which is a way to work "live" on the remote
server with no local site folder. Don't choose that- choose a regular site
that does have a local site folder.

@bkist,
Just as what Murray has suggested that we are also confused here about what you are trying to achieve.
Go back to the fundamental question, are you sure that you have 'define the site' correctly at the first place? Is that a no, still?

This is troubling. Please try uninstalling DW and reinstalling it.
I did this but it still has the same problems. I'll stop at an Apple Store today and see if there is something odd happening with my computer.
