Shockwave Player Won't Install

Jan 20, 2009 12:58 PM

I have the Compaq Presario PC with Windows Vista. I downloaded Shockwave Player Version 11 for use with Rosetta Stone Language Course. It worked 1st day. 2nd day Shockwave would not operate. Rosetta Stone Tech Support told me to uninstall the Version 11 of Shockwave Player I previously downloaded and re-download it. I successfully uninstalled it but when I attempted to download it again, nothing happened when I clicked the download button. Is this because they only allow one free download per server address? Help!

No, this isn't the reason - the player is free for everyone/anyone to
download (and use) as many times as they like. Your problem lies elsewhere.
How did you uninstall the player? Did you use the uninstaller that Adobe
provides? If not you should download and run it, and while you're there
grab the full installer and run it after uninstalling.
