I have been scanning some documents and when I'm done, I have to click Advanced>>PDF Optimizer to save them as v9. I dug around the Scan settings but I can't find anywhere I can make this permanent.
Is there some way I can make sure that every PDF I create, whether printing from Safari or Pages or TextEdit, or whether scanning a document, is automatically saved as PDF v9 (1.7, Extension Level 3?)?
I have gone through the preferences and there doesn't seem to be a setting there. I did create a PDF Optimizer profile that has v9 as it's default, but I really don't want to have to keep doing this manually if I can avoid it.
I'm sure it's staring at me in the face, but I just can't see it.
