validation pattern

Hello,

In a date/time Field under the object tab, under the value tab, I'm trying to change the validation pattern to
HH:MM, H:MM
instead of just HH:MM, because that wasn't allowing people to enter 2:45 for a time, they would have to enter 02:45. It allows me to make the validation pattern just H:MM, but then when I enter 2:45 it gives me an error message. Does anyone know how to allow someone to enter just 2:45 and not have it give you an error? And I want to keep some validation pattern, I don't want no validation.

    I tried this in Desinger and basically I put HH:MM in the validation pattern and select the error checkbox to display the message when the validation fails. I also put patterns in for the following:<br /><br /><Under the Field Tab><br />Display Pattern: HH:MM<br />Edit Pattern: H:MM<br /><br />It seamed to allow me to enter 2:45 and would be displayed correctly as 02:45
