2) Move the image files - these are probably located in/under My Pictures - making sure that they are in the exact same place on th enew PC. How you do this move is up to you - I normally use an external hard drive, but networking is another option, as are CDs.
3) Find and move the catalog file. This is called My Catalog.PSA - you will have to search for it, as I don't know he default location and it may be in a hidden folder. Locate it in the same place on the new PC.
I have Adobe Image Ready, Photoshop 7.0 and Photoshop Album SE 3.0. I am just learning to use these programs and thought the SE would be the easier program to begin with...) Anyway, I want to add music files from my Windows Media Player to my digital photo slideshow...is this possible? When I first created the catalog I noticed a dialog box asking if I wanted to attach media files to my slideshow, I didn't at that time. However now I cannot seem to find the option. (I am running XP Professional.)
Any insights would be extremely helpful and most gratefully received.
I owned Photoshop Album 2.0. In it, I can make a recipient list to send photos by E-mail just by checking the little square left of the recipient name. I recently downloaded Starter Edition 3.0 (try version I guess). In it, I can not make a recipient list to send photos by E-mail. Instead, a window open (with the photo attached) in which I have to write the address of the recipient. Do I have to buy 3.0 in order to have that possibility?
I uninstalled PSA SE 3. I downloaded PSE 4. I can not send photos by e-mail using PSE 4, because the ''send mail'' is not there. Is it because it is a trybuy version? If we are really to try the version, then the logic escape me (if I do not think business of course). Respecfully.
I select one photo. I do ''share'' and then e-mail. I click ''next''.
I see a red bar, like something is loading and then the window ''outlook express'' appears. The menu bar is : reply...reply to all...forward... but ''send'' does not appear. The from line reads : From : sender unspecified. But the same operations with PSA 2 works just fine.
This is a well known problem caused by a recent Windows update. Take a look at the PSE forum: http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx/.3bbb4ab0/
- there is information on how to fix it there. A simple workaround is to Forward this email.
I seem to have lost an entire folder of photo's I just downloaded from my digital camera last week. I can see them with all my other photo's in my album, but they have a red square at the bottom with a crack in it that seems to signify that they are missing. When I click on the photo, it starts searching for the photo but can't find it, stating that it is missing from the catalog. Where are those pictures and how can I retrieve them. I can't believe they would be totally lost because I can see them in my album. And of course I have already emptied the photo's from my camera. Any help would be appreciated. If you are able to email me, please do so at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks
We don't email so that other people can benefit when they search the
forum for solutions to their problems.
Nevertheless... what has happened is that the photos have become
disconnected from the thumbnails in PSA-SE. The application does NOT
hold them. It merely monitors their location. First verify that you did
not delete the folder in Windows Explorer. If you didn't, then you can
click on File, Reconnect. The problem with this approach is... you only
reconnect to suggested images and one at time...
Hi - I have down loaded the Starter Version of Photo Album but am unable to
a: Register as I do not get an email with my Unlock Key ???
b: Use any of the "Create" functions as the program seems to be trying to down load but after a while a dialog box tells me that my Internet connection is faulty ! I am on ADSL so what's up Doc ??
Now only have 4 occassions to use this program left and am getting desperate.
Jim and Collin - not sure everyone is able to find your responses. After several attempts to find some responses and posts that I submitted, I have concluded that this forum is about as user friendly as PSE (or is it PSE2 or PASE or PSA2 or ???). I found that these acronyms seem to be used interchangably and that other folks are having as much trouble finding their responses as me. I still have not found any of several responses or posts that I submitted. I tried each of the options for replying, posting a response, etc. Maybe you can help some of us figure out how to go back to the same list of questions/responses and find the answers to our questions in this forum.
The easiest way, is to subscribe to your own post. Otherwise, the posts
appear in the order in which they were most recently active. Does that
Another way you SHOULD be able to do this, is just search for your own
name. All of your posts will show up.
Does that help? FYI, Colin and I do NOT use the acronyms interchangably,
we are might be using them to refer to components in one another but
they are to us very different products. Keep in mind that this forum is
for beginners so it is possible that they might not be sure where they
are... That does happen.
I have, previous to Hotmail's upgrading a few months ago, been able to send photos. Now, I send photos by using SHARE in Photoshop, and I am still required to log into Hotmail the same but when the Hotmail screen comes up it shows instead of photo attachment files below the subject line, shows the words "show plain text" and no one is receiving any photos. Anyone else having this same problem?
Is this Hotmail or a Photoshop problem?
I finally figured out yesterday that I could do what you recommended, but thanks all the same. I probably did not make it clear enough, but it was not my intent to criticize you or Colin; just pointing out my observations about the confusing use of the acronyms on the forum. It is often difficult to know which product people are referring to and I did notice that both of you have frequently had to question users to make that determination. I applaud you and Colin for devoting so much of your time to helping all those users and I sincerely do appreciate your help.
I think you know that we are just end-users like yourself. We're here
because we like the products and feel that if we can figure out the bugs
associated with them etc... Adobe will continue to improve on them etc.
It's not a perfect world, but we'll work on it... and have it fixed for
