It's basically the place where we are allowed to post images but, they pretty much allow it in the lounge as well.

yeah you can put images in the lounge, but the point of the basement is you can expect large image files and mostly images.

as it describes in the title of the thread.

    Caution - Large Files

It's still a good idea to keep the larger images in an avoidable place - if only for rapid browsing of the rest.

"What is the Lounge Basement ?"

There should not be a space after the word 'Basement' but we'll let it slide just this once and give you the def:

"used as the hijacking headquarters. It was a dingy bar with five pay phones and a small concert stage for live music performances. James Quinlan from The New York Times described the establishment as a "Dodge City-style saloon". It was cited many times while in operation for underage sale of alcohol to Jimmy's son Frank James Burke who habituated the saloon since the age of sixteen. The "front man" who managed the day-to-day operations of the bar was Richard Eaton who was murdered in 1979 by Burke. It had three card tables, a casino craps table and was populated with enough bookmakers and loan sharks to cover all the action in Queens. Parnell Edwards played blues-rock at the bar regularly, every Saturday and Sunday. Another regular entertainer at the saloon was lounge singer and actor John Ciarcia, who went by the stage name "Johnny Cha-Cha". John Ciarcia, later in life be hired by Martin Scorsese to act in a small role in Goodfellas as "Vito" a member of William Devino's crew who celebrate with him at The Suite where Devino was later murdered. John later starred as Albie Cianflone in The Sopranos. The basement would be so packed with boxes of stolen goods that there was hardly enough room to play cards. Michael "Spider" Gianco, who worked at the bar, was later shot to death in the basement by Thomas DeSimone over an insult. It had an enclosed private backyard with a bocce court and open grill barbecue."

Notice the high-classness of the place by the inclusion of a barbecue.

I haven't visited the wrenches thread in over a year, but I just did and it's RO.  Somebody is a prude, unless something pornographic got posted that led to this.

The lounge basement is more technical than the lounge.

The mod behind the curtain makes me want to leave, and I've been a good customer for Adobe (AE, Photoshop, Premier Pro, Audition, Encore DVD, Lightroom, Acrobat Pro).  The Wenches thread was light hearted fun and enjoyment of human beauty.   It would be good form for the mod who deleted it to at least say why.

It's easy enough to take out one offending post without removing the whole bevy of beauty.

Bring me my wenches, now....    Now seriously, will someone please tell me what was wrong with that thread?  There was no nudity that I'm aware of.  Simply attractive women.  This is sooo unfair to those attractive women.

I feel the same way. While the loss of the Wenches thread is obviously not much loss to me personally, it was not obscene or pornographic (at least on the occasions I did  drop in). It seems to me that Ozzie has left and gone away. And now, really, I am tempted to as well. (I probably won't, but, as this place becomes less and less worthwhile to visit, I'll probably end up just not coming here much any more. )
