Premier Pro CS3 Error Message on Loading Project

Mar 18, 2009 12:30 PM

I get the following error message when trying to load a project:

"Premier Pro has encountered an error"

[..\..\Src\Time.cpp-105]

What is it and how do I get rid of it?

Thanks,

David

My students have a problem when creating a project in Premiere Pro CS4 at home and then copying the project, ".pproj" file and resource files, clips, etc..., trying to open the project at school using CS3. They get an error message saying that the file is corrupted.
They are using Windows XP SP2 on both machines and the files for the project are available. Machine power is sufficient on both machines and the file won't open before it gets a chance to relocate clips.
I have tried to find an answer but haven't found much.
    Any help out there?
    Thanks in advance

You can't open CS4 projects in CS3. If a student creates a project at home, he'll only be able to work on it there.

Projects created at school on CS3 will transport fine over to the home, but any work done there will not be able to come back to the CS3 machine at school.

Once it's saved as a CS4 version, you can't go back.
