Creating 3D pdf from AutoCAD 2006 3D model

Apr 14, 2009 8:36 AM

I downloaded a trial version of Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended to see if it would create a 3D model in a pdf from a 3D model in AutoCAD 2006.  First time I tried it it worked beautifully!  Unfortunately it won't do it again!

I went to File>Create PDF>From File...  then select my file.  This is exactly how I created the first one that worked.  It won't do it again.

How do I capture a 3D model from AutoCAD2006 and put it into a .pdf?

Thanks,

Richard

Hi. If you want to try to create 3D animations based on CAD data later, you may use the Instructor3D (www.instructor3D.com). It allows the easy creation of 3D animations and imports them into pdf files.
