Creating 3D pdf from AutoCAD 2006 3D model

Apr 14, 2009 8:36 AM

I downloaded a trial version of Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended to see if it would create a 3D model in a pdf from a 3D model in AutoCAD 2006.  First time I tried it it worked beautifully!  Unfortunately it won't do it again!

I went to File>Create PDF>From File...  then select my file.  This is exactly how I created the first one that worked.  It won't do it again.

How do I capture a 3D model from AutoCAD2006 and put it into a .pdf?

Hi. If you want to try to create 3D animations based on CAD data later, you may use the Instructor3D ( It allows the easy creation of 3D animations and imports them into pdf files.
