How to get as3 classes into director?

Ok i'm trying to use a list component in director but i've run into a bit of a problem.

I have my cellRenderer class that I built and tested in AS3, how do I get it into director?

In the not so helpfull help files it reads:
Using Director / Using Flash, Flash Components, and Other Interactive Media Types / List component

List.cellRenderer Assigns the class or symbol to use to display each row of the list.

How? Any Ideas?

    You can't do that. AS3 does not work in Director. Regardless of what you read at the Adobe web site, nothing written and saved as AS3 will work in an swf played through Director. Nothing.

    I'm not Rob, but I'm sure his response will be the same: no, Director 11
    doesn't support AS3 (or rather, released versions of the Flash Asset
    xtra ...)

    Director 11 does NOT support AS3. It does not support it a little. It does not support any part of AS3. If you use AS3 in your Flash movie, and import or link that Flash movie to a Director 11 movie, then your Flash movie will not work correctly.

    This will probably change in the future with an update to the Flash xtra, but as of this writing, AS3 DOES NOT WORK in Director 11 movies.
