Among a number of other utilities that I am currently working on is an AA session file (.SES) diagnostic/repair utility.
I have deciphered most of the 'important' bits and I am a currently writing the code for this application.
Unfortunately (or fortunately really) I don't have any corrupt sessions (touch wood), Ever since I got my system rock solid - no crashes!
So if anyone has a session file which won't load etc I would appreciate you attaching them to this thread or failing that email me through the AATranslator website http://www.aatranslator.com.au
I don't think I have any saved, but from what I remember they all stopped at the LIST FILE sections (I think that was what it was called)... But that could just be the actual end of the file. The corrupt sessions may just need to have there chunk sizes updated, but I don't have that much experience inside those .ses files anymore. If only I had more time to work on programming and stuff...
But then again I don't make enough money either way so maybe I'll dig into some more software stuff like a session packer program for audition that converts all the wavs to WavPack files (or some other format) and zips them up along with the session file for easier transfer and archiving
That would be nice ![]()
Hi Ron no the LIST chunk is not the eof. It is a 'duplicate' of the WLST chunk. One is unicode the LIST is not.
I am curious to see where these files get truncated but it appears that there are no current session file problems - that's gotta be a good thing I guess?

Relying on donations/payments from audio programming is almost as profitable as being a professional musician :-)
Good thing indeed...

I must be doing something wrong because I don't make much money doing either...
But then again I'm always kind of torn between the two and can't finish anything of real value... Other then work I do for everybody else that is...
