Dear Adobe Community,
We are searching for our project an Alchemy expert who could help us to create a better Alchemy/AIR Image Encoder. This is a AIR Application who runs on a Server and generate pictures. Now is this Application only as3 and we would like to make it as rapid as possible. We though that Alchemy could be a good technology to solve it. Please reply for more infos.
I tried to use an Alchemy Jpeg Library Port for this App and it works, the question is that would like to try without compression (BMP) to see if it could be more rapid in our process… But i did not succed to find any 'Alchemy BMP Library port'… Could you help us? We need a solution as soon as possible and we are ready to pay this job. Thank for your help.
I apologise for my short response.
I would be glad to make for you an optimised BMP encoder, given a description of what functionality and input/output formats (BitmapData, ByteArray, write to drive) it would need. I could also port a pre-existing library with full functionality, but this would be less optimised. I have worked on complicated projects with Alchemy, including creating the alchemy debugger, and feel I have a strong understanding of how to code for it most efficiently.
Note that BMP files store the image upside-down, and flipping the image this way will require a small amount of extra work per-image for the encoder. If you are trying to get many BitmapData objects dumped to files of any type as fast as possible, a more flexible format such as TIFF may be more efficient, because the image data could be written without manipulation.
I am based in the US and would want at least some payment for work, preferably via paypal. I'm afraid I don't often have the opportunity to set my own pay and am unsure what a reasonable quote for this work would be; any thoughts on how much money this is worth to you would be well appreciated.
