www.buchannel.co.cc -- that's the user name, and they're spamming forums, using a smiley to hide the link.
Just a warning to everyone out there that there is a phishing email going around which purports to be from Adobe, and offering an update to Reader which will enable the user to work with documents in Reader. Like an absolute fool, I followed the link in the email> I can't BELIEVE I did this - the site looked OK if you're not a constant visitor to Adobe (which I'm not) and I went ahead and purchased the upgrade (as I thought).
Of course, you all know what comes next.
The company is MBPurchase, and the product turned out to be called TenPDF Reader.
Following up on MBPurchase, I discover that they are notorious for scams of all sorts of descriptions - not just Adobe, but lots of other things as well.
I have had to cancel my credit card in case they try to raid my account
BE WARNED! And don't be like me - don't follow the link in the email. I KNOW not to do this, but Adobe is such a trusted name I didn't think.
(THIS IS NOT RELATED TO THE ORIGINAL TOPIC. SEE BELOW...)
I am unable to create any new messages, or PMs, via the website. I keep
getting this error message when opening the page (I think it's related to
the main text input field):
"Part of this page has been blocked due to the following reason: This page
(or part of it) has been blocked because it attempts to exploit an
application level vulnerability.
The ID of the transaction is XXXXXXXX."
This happens both in IE and in FireFox.
I'm posting this via email to this topic because this is the only way I can
post anything now.

Contact whoever is in charge of the software that generates this error
to find out more. Probably your anti virus software vendor or your proxy
server administrator. They can tell you why you get this error. If they
can tell you which file triggers their security we would be interested
to know so we can add it to the FAQ.
