I am running Adobe Workflow Server 6.2 on a Windows 2000 server, with SQL 2000 db on the same server (dev/test environment). I have an issue where work items stall with an error stating "Failed to deadline work item {ref ID}, from process "{process name}". Unhandled exception occurred. Service is shutting down." Sometimes when I reboot the server - and I have to reboot the server, restarting the Adobe Workflow Server service doesn't help - it will get out of this state and work fine. But once the server is rebooted again, items begin stalling and cannot be restarted.
I have looked in the event logs, and noticed a DCOM error stating "DCOM got error "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password. " and was unable to logon {DOMAIN\username} in order to run the server:
{122B5522-AAE2-4897-B925-307A01E5CD60} ". This error is thrown the first time the Workflow app is accessed (page launch) after a reboot, whether it is in a working state, or a stalling state.
Anyone seen anything like this? The two may well be unrelated, but it seems like getting rid of that DCOM error would be a good start!
Thanks!
