browser refresh button

I have an application with a login page which leads then to some flex application rendering data.  the problem is that whenever the refresh button on the browser is hit it takes you back to the login page.  Is there a way to prevent this from happening?  and rather stay at the page where you were prior to hiting the refresh button?
