Saving a PDF as a negative image...is that possible?

Oct 26, 2009 9:13 AM

I'm trying to save a PDF from Illustrator as a negative image...like in the print menu in 'Output' you can change the image to Negative.

I need to do this so I can send it to an image setter.

I looked in the help menu and briefly online but I couldn't find anything, please let me know if you know how I can do this or if it isn't possible!

Thanks!

Not that I know of, at least not without a lot of manual adjustments. I don't really understand why you would need that, though. Inverting a plate should be as easy as checking an option in the RIP, so basically using the printer output option is the correct way IMO.

Send the PDF as 'Print quality'. The image setter should be able to do whatever is needed... no?
