acrord32.dll crashes when starting reader

Hi there

 

When starting Acrobat Reader 9.2, the application crashes on startup.

 

I have uninstalled the application from the control panel.

 

Then installed the latest version.

 

When starting the application it dies very quickly (nothing displays).

 

Details are:

AppName: acrord32.exe

AppVer: 9.2.0.124

ModName: acrord32.dll

ModVer: 9.2.0.124

Offset: 001925EC

 

Exception information:

Code: 0xC000 0005

Flags: 0

Record: 0

Address: 0x12e 25ec

 

System: Windows XP Service Pack 3

 

Any help appreciated.

 

Need to open documents, and pay bills. Ok, maybe better not to get the reader working.

    You should really ask the question in the Reader forum. However, check to be sure you are the administrator when installing and that anti-virus is turned off during the install.
