Problem.  Has CS3 installed a jpg plugin into windows?

We had Photoshop 7 installed.  When scanning in photos in photoshop7 or the scanner software the jpg file size was always 2Mb.

 

Since upgrading to CS3  all the photos are now 6Mb when using the same settings.  This is not just when scanned in photoshop.

 

We cannot find a way to solve this.

 

I wonder if CS3 installed some sort of jpg plugin into windows?.  Any thoughts?

    This is purely a matter of the settings in the scannner software.


    Photoshop doesn't change any of them.
