Hi,
Thank you for providing it under open and free licnese, Adobe.
I have a question about its contains.
Adobe-CNS1-ETenms-B5 became Adobe-CNS1-ETen-B5, and Adobe-CNS1-6 is newly added.
But some *RKSJ-H files are not included.
- CNS01-RKSJ-H
- CNS02-RKSJ-H
- CNS03-RKSJ-H
- CNS04-RKSJ-H
- CNS05-RKSJ-H
- CNS06-RKSJ-H
- CNS07-RKSJ-H
- CNS15-RKSJ-H
- GB-RKSJ-H
- GBT-RKSJ-H
- HK-RKSJ-H
- Hojo-RKSJ-H
- KSC-RKSJ-H
- KSC2-RKSJ-H
- TCVN-RKSJ-H
Do you have any plan to include those missing files?

I apologize for the delay in replying to this post. I was not aware of it until late last night.
In any case, as the creator of these specific CMap resources, I can provide some background about them, including their intended purpose.
These *-RKSJ-H CMap resources are not considered official, and were created for a special purpose. The "special purpose" was for the ability to apply Shift-JIS encoding to 94x94 character sets that otherwise did not have a Shift-JIS representation, at least in the official sense. These CMap resources were used to typeset CJKV Information Processing First Edition in the 1998/1999 timeframe. Adobe FrameMaker was used, and it was determined that the best way in which to handle character sets other than JIS X 0208 was to apply Shift-JIS encoding. Of course, input was not ideal. Code input was necessitated.
These special-purpose CMap resources can be divided into two categories: 1) those based on public/standard character collections, and 2) those based on experimental or private character collections. In the case of Category #2, consider them to be unpublished character collections.
In terms of Category #1, they are as follows:
GB-RKSJ-H = GB 2312-80, referencing Adobe-GB1-0 CIDs
GBT-RKSJ-H = GB/T 12345-90, referencing Adobe-GB1-1 CIDs
Hojo-RKSJ-H = JIS X 0212-1990, referencing now-deprecated Adobe-Japan2-0 CIDs
KSC-RKSJ-H = KS X 1001:1992, referencing Adobe-Korea1-0 CIDs
In terms of Category #2, they are as follows:
CNS01-RKSJ-H = CNS 11643-1992 Plane 1, referencing Adobe-CNS2-0 CIDs
CNS02-RKSJ-H = CNS 11643-1992 Plane 2, referencing Adobe-CNS2-0 CIDs
CNS03-RKSJ-H = CNS 11643-1992 Plane 3, referencing Adobe-CNS2-0 CIDs
CNS04-RKSJ-H = CNS 11643-1992 Plane 4, referencing Adobe-CNS2-0 CIDs
CNS05-RKSJ-H = CNS 11643-1992 Plane 5, referencing Adobe-CNS2-0 CIDs
CNS06-RKSJ-H = CNS 11643-1992 Plane 6, referencing Adobe-CNS2-0 CIDs
CNS07-RKSJ-H = CNS 11643-1992 Plane 7, referencing Adobe-CNS2-0 CIDs
CNS15-RKSJ-H = CNS 11643-1986 Plane 15, referencing Adobe-CNS2-0 CIDs
HK-RKSJ-H = Hong Kong GCCS, referencing Adobe-HongKong1-0 CIDs
KSC2-RKSJ-H = KS X 1002:1991, referencing Adobe-Korea2-0 CIDs
TCVN-RKSJ-H = TCVN 6056:1995, referencing Adobe-Vietnam1-0 CIDs
These CMap resources are described in both editions of CJKV Information Processing, though they were used only for First Edition. Second Edition was typeset using Adobe InDesign CS3, and Unicode was used for representing text data. In First Edition, Table 6-46 on page 328 lists them. In Second Edition, Table 6-63 on pages 465 and 466 lists them.
If these CMap resources were to be added to an Adobe open source project, and thus include the open source license, it would be the CMap Resources open source project, not this one, because they are genuine CMap resouces, and not mapping resources that are used for PDFs.
If you are aware of legitimate or genuine uses for these CMap resources, please provide to me as many details as possible so that I can take this under consideration.

Thank you for your reply, Ken
I should post that to CMAP Resources open source project, not this forum
as you said, sorry.
I'm maintaining poppler-data package in Debian. poppler-data is based on
Adobe CMAP resources and Mapping Resources for PDF. The older version of
poppler-data - version 0.2.1 is based on under proprietary license, has
*-RKSJ-H CMap resources. I just want it would be fully compatible with
previous version.
To be honest with you, I'm not sure this lack would cause problems or not.
I'm afraid that I don't provide details as you said, but if there is not
any particular reason, I hope that *-RKSJ-H CMap resources also would be
licensed under new open source license for better compatibility. It would
not make users annoyed.
And I guess old Adobe FrameMaker is used even today. The publishers don't
want to change their environment without special reason such as system
corruption. I heard that a publisher changed their system from QuarkXPress
2.0 to InDesign in this year or last year.

Hideki,
I suggest that we continue to discuss this via email. I don't know your email address, so please contact me via mine.
(edited to remove email address)
Don't worry, we will reach a conclusion that will benefit the open source community.
