Deleting media cache files

Dec 21, 2009 6:25 PM

Just wondering if there might be any problems caused by deleting the media cache that pile up in

C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\Media Cache Files (on vista).

There are some pretty hefty ones with *.cfa extension.  Then much smaller files with *.pek extension.  I recognize the names as being from a project I recently finished... but am not really completely done with yet.

2 of the files are pretty big... over 850MB

Nope. No problem. The worst that happens is that you'll need to wait for new conformed audio files or other cache files to be recreated if you use that footage again. See "The media cache" for details.
