Launchpad ES2 - Logging In Issue

I am having a problem with getting people logged into Launchpad.  I can log into it fine with my account (I am the admin on LiveCycle) but other's can not log in after then install it.  They get a message that the "Server configuration specified here is invalid."  I don't understand whey it works for me and not others.  I have had them change the server to just the server name, the fqdn, and the IP address and they still get the same issue.  Below is the server log entry when the user tries to log in.

    UPDATE:

     

    I think the issue is tied to the user's role in LiveCycle ES2.  Does anyone know what the role should be in order to use Launchpad?

    Looks like Rights Management End User and Workspace User. Not sure about the reason behind the latter if you don't have Process Management installed.

    Thank you.  I checked and the users have RM End User, Workspace User, PDFG User, Reader Extensions Web Appl, and Content Space User.  It still won't work for them.

    Sorry. I realized the error of my ways immediately after I made the post.

     

     

    The trick is to configure the security on the LaunchPadService (Services > Applications and Services > Service Management).

     

    I created a user in the SampleOrganization, PublicationsGroup called 'LaunchPad User'. Users in that group inherit Rights Management End User and Workspace User roles. On the LauchPadService I changed the Run As property to a named user and added the Super Administrator. Finally, I added 'LaunchPad User' as the prinicipal. I can now log onto LaunchPad using the 'LaunchPad User' id.

    ...and gave 'LaunchPad User' INVOKE_PERM on the service.

    I'm having the same issue as I'm working with launchPad modules. I got this workaround in http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/errorCodeRef/index.html

     

    LiveCycle Data Services ES2 Error Codes

    CodeUser must be authenticated before documents may be uploaded. (LiveCycle Data Services ES2)

    Attempting to upload a document without the correct permissions to the Remoting file upload service will result in the error: User must be authenticated before documents may be uploaded.

    ActionUsers have two options: 1) Go to the adminUI at HOME -> Settings -> Core System -> Core Configurations and check the "Allow non secured document uploade from Flex applications" check box. or 2) Add the user trying to complete this operation to the "Document Upload Application Users" role or give them the "Document Upload" permission.

     

    So checking the "Allow non secured document upload from Flex applications" check box in the adminui helped me, but I'm still not able to use it with the authentication enabled.

    I created a custom role called LaunchPad User and provide just these roles:

     

    1. Repository Read
    2. Repository Traverse
    3. Repository Write
    4. Document Upload
    5. PDF/G End User


    The user will also need to be a document publisher in order to see any policies for Rights Management.
