Is giving link to other websites like this one - (spam link removed) is spam?
Let us define what is a spam and what is not a spam to help clean out the forums. It will need support from all forum followers to make the forum spam free .. something which wikipedia is proud of ... any spam message posted on the site often has a life lesser then a couple of minutes ... Any thoughs on how do they achieve it?
A spammer, so far only in Web Design:
This user is very angry because s/he didn't read the instructions when installing Flash Player, and didn't uncheck the optional McAfee Security Scan.
Now s/he is writing post after post after post in the Flash Player forum, and disturbing the people who seek or provide help in the forum. (The active posts are now almost 3 pages long!)
So far s/he has posted 21 complaints; please someone delete these, as they serve no purpose other than disturbig the forum activities. And while at it, please stop this user from posting!
Post #7 here has an email address, and the sender is probably unable to delete it because it has been answered:
Not "exactly" spam... but this person has posted a message, evidently clicked the option to receive email... and is using an old email account that bounces
Users are automatically subscribed to their own threads, so he didn't have to click anything. Not much we can do here. Hoping he comes back, sees the message, and changes his email address on his Adobe account.
I did remove his email subscription, so if others reply there, it shouldn't trigger another auto response.
I don't know what this user is about http://forums.adobe.com/people/margoFL ? All posts are kind of meaningless, or stupid "advice" like "reinstall windows" for a Shockwave Player question.
