Poster is the last post, can't read the writing, not English
I have a question about spam. Can the spammers harvest my personal email now that they have spammed my Adobe PM, or might they have harvested it already? Because I only signed up for this forum on this past weekend and I am getting spam to my personal email for the first time, not just the Adobe PM.

Thanks. In the ya, but... category, I deleted the spam... but now can't find the thread. (Generally I pick an offending post off from a thread, but see the whole thread, this time I started from just the post and never did see the thread.) Don't know if it's me, jive, or firefox. If others don't see it either, I'll have to call on JC for help.
Don't know if this is Spam or not. Can't copy the poster's name, not in English.

I'm going to default to the Ok side. There are not any links in the content of either post, and the one in English seems Ok.

Google translate is your friend.
That is rather unusual, since you have only one single post in this forum.
If it was from a different user name, go to My Stuff on the top of this forum, then change the Preferences to not receive any notifications.
You also have to unsubscribe from any topics you are already subscribed (Email Notifications under your Profile).
I hope that this ARTICLE will be helpful.
Going back, I tried to help another poster, and fell victim to about 1000 e-mails per day, for every forum, that I had ever posted to over the decades. Fortunately, that stopped at about the third day. All e-mail settings were turned OFF.
Good luck,
Hunt
Might want to take a look at this post: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/617510?tstart=0
Feeling is that this is a poster, who has recently been banned under two other screen names.

I just joined and posted and the very next day a member from here by the name of xinglv1 sent me a spam email. What is up with this forum? I thought it was safe to post in here and my privacy was respected?
This spam came in my private email not the PM in here.
Someone needs to remove that member now or I am deleting my info and going to the tech support fourms where I have never had a problem being contacted by unwanted jerks!
I am guessing you are meaning PM is Private Message as in messaging ppl in here. I got spammed in my external mail address not in here and that to me is the worst that can happen. What I get in here is easy to ignore, what I get in my personal address is more of a pain to go through span/trash or not.
Looks like you got your e-dress removed from your Profile. That will be a good start.
Also, if you now do need to post your e-dress, something like this should work: info AT huntphoto DOT com, ans most humans can figure that out. To date, spam 'bots do not seem smart enough to, well connects the dots.
Good luck,
Hunt
