Border around text characters

Mar 5, 2010 5:44 AM

I have one word of text to be used for a logo.  The font is Ravie, 16pt, color is dark cranberry.  I want a thin border around each text character using a light yellow.

I created this in photoshop using the stroke effect but can't seem to duplicate it in inDesign.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

If you want an outline on the character itself, just apply a coloured stroke in the swatches panel. If you want the

outline to stand away from the charactwer, so there is white space between, I think you are better off going back to

    Photoshop.

Select your text, then click the "Outline" button in the Swatches panel -- the little icons on the top left (default is to set the "Fill" color). Then click your yellow swatch to set the outline color. After setting the color, you can adjust the thickness using the "Stroke" panel.
