Selection Indicators in Browsers Ruin the Look of Spry Accordions

Mar 8, 2010 6:23 AM

I've created some simple navigation on the left hand side of, using a Spry accordion in Dreamweaver. The top buttons are in the accordion, and the bottom ones are not, because they contain no sub-navigation. Safari and IE both put a "fence" around the whole accordion when you select a button. This ruins the look of the navigation I designed.

I suspect this is just what you have to live with, but is there any way to get rid of this browser indicator?

Thats called a focus border or outline its there for accessibility. This way users who navigate through keyboard know on your site where they are. Removing this border will make your less accessible
