Using SharePoint in Adobe 3D Shared Review Process

Jul 1, 2010 7:09 AM

I need help setting up a Shared  Review. I am using Adobe 3D and want to use SharePoint for my review  depository. However, when I start the review wizard, choose the folder  type as SharePoint workspace, click next, and then type in the  SharePoint Site URL. I always receive the same status as Shared folder  access is unknown or invalid. Do I need to set up the preferences screen  in Adobe under Reviewing differently? There, is I choose the server  type as Network folder, the Administrator Provide Server Settings field  is grayed out. Do I need to have IT provide me with something special?  Is there something IT has to do on their side to tell Adobe and  SharePoint to work together? Any videos I have watched online seem to  make it so easy, but I think there is something that is not provided for  information to successfully make this work. Any help, insight,  solutions are greatly appreciated.

Regards

I had a similar issue. Acrobat found the Sharepoint site but none of the options were active. My solution was to create a Workspace in the Sharepoint. Then when Acrobat connected to the Sharepoint, it found the Workspace and things worked as expected.

Select the Site Actions button, Create, then under the Web Pages column select Sites and Workspaces.
