Server Log View not Auto-Updating

Jul 5, 2010 11:50 PM

Hi

On the server I do a tail -f which updates on each write of the server to the log; this is not working in my Workbench… is there such a plan?

For now, we have placed a refresh icon in the log view. The concern we had with auto update was that we might impose unnecessary chat between the workbench client and the server (we're actually working to make Workbench run as "stand alone" as possible). But there could still be a design that allows for a user configured update interval / disable, I suppose. My own preference would be an experience like Baretail where you can set a line marker. I'll talk to the team about it. If anyone else thinks this would be a highy desirable feature, let us know here and we'll count the votes

    Using Win 2002 , LiveCycle ES2 SP1

After editing config settings I don;t see any log in serverlog windows but error is thrown( I tried \ and / char for path also

know the folder has correct path and log file is present on that location)

    Thanks

Sorry you are having problems with the server log DSC. Can you add more of the stack trace? Did you also use a C:\ at the start (assuming C drive). Maybe we have a problem on Windows 2002, I'll ask the team to check.

Actually Windows 2002 is not official supported platform for Workbench. Are you facing the same problem on othe OSes?

A Baretail approach would be phenomenal
