Flash Sleep Mode on Windows

HI, I'm using webkit under windows and rendering pages  to an offscreen buffer. The Flash sleep mode features causes jerky 4fps video. Is there some way to disable/control this feature? How does flash determine it should go into sleep mode under windows? (perhaps I can trick it into thinking its still visible)
