Sound in after effects?

For some reason, sound layers do not preview in after effects. Does anyone know why and how I could change that?

i have same problem too. i can't hear any audio when i import vids. And can't hear any audio when i render them.Don't know what to do.
Can someone help?

Start by reading these two FAQ entries:
How can I play or preview sound (audio)?
Why is there no audio (sound) in my output file?

Answer back regarding whether these addressed your issue. If not, we can help further.

Ok thanks! All I have to do when previewing is press "0" on the numeric key pad when previewing. Thanks!
