Repoussé on Photoshop CS5 Extended Won't Work

Aug 1, 2010 6:12 PM

I'm trying to make text on my project 3D, but when I go to the 3D menu, Repoussé is gray and I can't click it. Other people are saying to enable OpenGL Drawing, but I have no idea what that is or how to get it. Please help!!!

    Photoshop – Preferences – Performance

There is a field titled GPU Settings, therein check Enable OpenGL Drawing.

That, I’m afraid, might indicate that your graphic card does not support OpenGL.

Check for your card on this list:

You should still be able to use some of the 3D-features, like 3D – New Shape From Layer, to create simpler forms like cubes and cones or Place 3D-models, but to use Repoussé you might have to invest in a new video card.

Is there any trick to use it?

    Thanks

    Hi Alex,

Have you tried creating a Shape layer or Text layer first, then seeing if Repoussé is active?

    regards,

    steve

It may have nothing to do with open GL at all.  I was jsut having the same problem and I solved it by switching form CMYK back to RGB.

Problem solved - 3D works perfectly again

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for the reply, and sorry for the delay in one year with the answer )

Now it seems sorted, I created a shape, rasterized it and Repousse seems is active. I can see all 3D modeliing tools.
