Subscripts and superscripts in Input and dynamic text boxes

I posted this in the Flash section of this forum without response, so I hope it's OK to post it here too.

 

I want a user to be able to type subscripts and superscripts in an input box, and I want to present them in dynamic text boxes. I was able to do this with Lingo in Director by decreasing the font size and lowering or raising it. Is it possible to do this with Action Script 3?
