DVD case - template gone in CS5?

Sep 23, 2010 1:06 AM

I remember a template for DVD case being avaible in CS4. Having upgraded to CS5 I don't find it anymore. Am I right and where can I find a substitute - have tried Google, didn't work. Yours Knud, Copenhagen

I've taken a look in InDy CS4 but can't see any DVD setting. Can't find it on the org. dvds either.

What do you mean by template. An actual InDy.indt file or the new document setting?

If it is the document setting, just take them from another DVD-case file and save the setting from within the new document pane.

Do you have a DVD case beside you? And a ruler?

Templates are not shipped with InDesign CS5, I don't know why, perhaps because the style was so out of date for a lot of templates they were scrapped?

Here's a nice list of lots of templates though http://www.cravedog.com/pages/templates.php

The templates were indeed dropped in CS5. The CS4 files should work just fine.

And then it hit me,... those are the templates you talk about.

Hmm whats an exuse to get away with,...

    1. I never used those. Always work from scratch.

    2. I responded early this morning.

    3. Duh.

    4. ...

    no? Sorry all.

indeed, there just template documents. Open them in CS5, save and your ready to go. You just can't use the pulldown menu. But mini bridge might do the trick.
