Is there some kind of tutorial or instruction page to explain how to add "LIKE" buttons to our web pages, so Facebook users can promote them? I see many webpages with this, including the number of people who have "liked"... and I'd like to do the same for various pages on various websites of mine.
(I'm talking specifically about the "LIKE", not the "SHARE".)
A quick Google search revealed this:
I've studied the tutorials, but haven't found any mention of customized buttons and/or link color. There are only "light" and "dark" options.
Is it possible that this is simply not do-able? (changing the color of the "like" button, that is)
I don't believe it is possible. I believe they were trying to create consistency to ensure when people clicked a Facebook like button or Twitter tweet button that the end user knows what it is and trusts it.
If you go to your Facebook page, there is a link right at the very bottom of the page for 'Developers'. Has several examples there.
