Using Flash in place of Powerpoint

Oct 23, 2010 10:47 AM

Hello All

I am hoping someone here might be able to answer a question for me.

I would like to use Flash in place of Powerpoint to add some zing to our presentations.

Is it a viable option now or are there limitations?

What format should it be exported as and will it be viewable across platforms?

Any info would be greatly appreciated

By the way I run a mac so I would prefer to not use "Presenter" which seems to integrate with Powerpoint.

Thanks in advance!

But if I export as SWF, some people will not be able to open it.

Whatever format you send it, some people will not be able to open it because they may not have the software to view it.  SWF files can be viewed on any platform with Adobe Media Player.

Flash Player is a browser add-on for Internet content, whereas Media Player is a standalone player for local files; http://www.adobe.com/products/mediaplayer/
