In Dreamweaver there is a possibility to view code with design in parallel, view desing or code only, or switch to split code view, which allows user to see the same document and move to it's different parts. However, as far as I understood there is no possibility to view two different source codes in the same time. What if I am building the page and need to get some ideas or some parts of the codefrom another one? I believe that would be very nice if there was a chance to see one code and edit another one simultaneously.
Hope I'm mistaken and DW CS5 allows that.
Yes, that is what I need in general, but what I exactly meant is if there is a possibility to split two codes while all the documents are open as tabs. In your screenshot you have windows open separately. There is quite a difference between the two approaches because space utilization is much more effiecient when documents are displayed as tabs.
I hope I made myself clear. So, is there such an option?
No. You can suggest this as an enhancement to the product at this location though -
Actually it is possible. (CS 6 on Mac)
Drag the tab and drop it on the left border of code window like you do with other GUI Elements. So you get a split view. Quite hidden but absolutely usefull!
