Unable to load Large Image in Flex Application

Hi,

I have an image of size around 6MB. When I try to load this image in a builtin control "<mx:Image/>", I don't get any luck. However, if I load any other image but with a small size, it loads successfully. Can anybody please let me know how can I load the large image?

hello,

check the width and height of image it may be greater than 5000 px

Yes, its dimension is 6201 x 8661. Does it matter?

Yes. There is an restriction in flex. You can load image upto 5000 x 5000 pixels.
