Local Adjustments set to have no effect on the image : ERROR MESSAGE

I am getting this error messgae in Bridge andf cannot find the option/preference to reset it.

 

Can anyone help me allow the local adjustments brushes to HAVE an effect on my images??

 

PLEASE ??

    Little confused with this message as there  are no adjustment brushes in Bridge, or not a term I recognize.

     

    If you want to reset the preferences in Bridge hold down the Ctrl key and start Bridge.  You should get a reset window with 3 options.

    Sorry, for the confusion. The error message come us when using the adjustment brushes in the Adobe camera raw editor, which I open from Bridge.

     

    I can  make basic adjustments to the image, but the brushes or grad filter give this messgae.

    Do you have the latest versions of Bridge and ACR?  Are you

    discussing CS5 or something else?
