4-person video chat?

Dec 2, 2010 5:19 AM

What would be the best way to implement a skype-like 4-way video chat?

I understand that if p2p doesn't work, it needs to fallback on regular rtmp streams via a fast server (live akamai, etc.)

But if p2p does work- will directed routing be synced enough?

Sorry for asking before testing, but I'm trying to get an overview before digging into the code. When I attempted this around a month ago, using groups, there was a serious delay that made it unusable. I'm hoping that I just did something wrong

Thanks!

David

FaceFlow.com is a very successful website for video calling and conferencing that uses RTMFP.

They only offer 3-way webcam now because they are teting it before adding the fourth webcam.

You might want to check the website and Copy it, perhaps.
