Slideshow Format

I have a basic subscription to Photoshop.com, and that suits my needs (well I did add a few GB of additional storage). The issue that I am having at present is that I am unable to change the slideshow template, which is odd, since as a basic subscription holder I should only have access to the Midnight template (which is the one I like so it works out fine).

 

I have tried to change the template, but the changes do not seem to save. What am I missing?

    Hello 1stKyCav,

     

    Can you please tell the exact steps that you are taking to change the slideshow template? Are you not being able to set the midnight template for your album?

    Hello KyCav,

     

      I've been able to reproduce this issue on my side. I've reported it to our engineers to look into, hopefully they'll find a solution soon.

      This only occurs with a non-Plus (standard) account. If you do something, like change the background color (say from Black to Green), that change will be reflected in the slideshow editor. And if you apply the settings and come back later to edit the slideshow further, those settings will have been remembered. But anyone who visits your slideshow will see the slideshow with default settings. If you do the same thing under a Plus account, it works as expected.

    Thanks for the replies Shaffaly and Brett.  Brett you have described the situation exactly.  Thanks for looking into this.  I hope the engineers can come up with a solution.

    Brett, as long as you have the engineers working on this, you might also mention that the "sort by" always defaults to and reverts back to "Most Recently Updated", even though I always try to set it to "Alphabetical"

    Hi,

     

    Can you verify now? This issue has been resolved. Let us know if you face any more issues.

     

    By the way, there are more slideshow options for basic user now. Do try them and let us know what you think.

    Thanks again for the prompt action on the slideshow formats.  I have made

    several changes over the past couple of days and everything seems to be

    working properly.

     

    One other point that I mentioned was the "sort by" option on the gallery

    page; this always seems to default to "recently modified".  I would prefer

    to use "alphabetically" as my default sort.  Should be be user defined?

    Hello KyCav,

     

      Thanks for the suggestion. Our team is currently looking into implementing options for allowing our users to change the default sort order of galleries. Stay tuned!
