No templates in titler CS5

Jan 16, 2011 2:22 PM

Hi there!

Took the plunge last week. Still getting everything converted and set up, but so far so good. Except.....I just tried to access the templates for lower thirds and there are none. I've already installed the library content download. I've got my library in Encore.

Any ideas?

Jessica

    This applies to Premiere also.

    Jessica,

Glad that you found the Functional Content. The reason that it is separate is that it does require some HDD real estate, and some users choose to not install it. This does limit things a bit, but one can still "create" much of what is included. However, for that little bit of real estate, I find it very useful to at least have the Templates on the machine, as one can use those as a basis for customization. This is for Titles and then in Encore, for Menus.

Good luck, and thanks for the details on how to install all of the Functional Content. The exact operation changes a bit, from installation from media vs installation from downloads.

I did... that doesn't help me.  I don't get the following option for some unknown reason.

    Click View Order History.

Look at the row with your order number and click Download.

On the download page, look at the row with the description for function content. For example, for CS5, look for “Adobe Premiere Pro CS5: Download contains additional ReadMe files plus content (menus, buttons, and backgrounds) for Adobe Encore CS5.”

You cannot get to your Order History?

You do not have a download button for the software?

Did you download CS6 from Adobe?

    OK, then uninstall everything

    Run Cleaner Tool and reinstall.

    Don't forget to deactivate.

IIRC the functional content for Encore is shown on the installation disk.

I haven't tried re-installing yet.  I've had some many projects, I just couldn't find the time.  It would be nice to have to the templates for my projects so that I don't have to create them.  Not that creating them is hard.

Yes, I can get to my Order History but I don't have anything listed.

No, I don't have a download button for the software.

No, I didn't download CS5 from Adobe.  I bought the media in the Adobe box.

I remember having to reinstall Encore to get the template for it.  I will have to give that a try on Premiere.
