Uninstalling Photoshop from CS2 to upgrade to PS CS5 Extended

I've recently migrated CS2 from my old G4 to this MBPro/10.6.5; I've scoped out the hoops/issues in achieving a successful download, but a minor question: should I be uninstalling PS CS2 before opening the upgrade? thanks for any assistance.
