Spry Accordion Widget, IE 7 and using “Find on this page” question

Mar 1, 2011 3:28 PM

Greetings,

I am using Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 and the Spry Accordion widget. The project I am working on is for a internal Intranet page that is extremely long without using the widget.

I have reworked the newwly developed page to the point where I have exactly what I want visually with excellent functionality.

I have one problem that I have not been able to find a solution to. It involves using the “Find (on This Page)” browser function for Internet Explorer 7 (which is the browser we are forced to use within the company).

The problem is that when someone uses the browser command “Find (on This Page)” to search for a term/word in a collapsed panel.  (IE7 -> Edit (drop menu) -> Find on This page)

The command works fine if the panel is open, but if the panel is collapsed the searched for word/term does not produce anything.

I am looking for scripting that will:

Cause a panel to open automatically when a searched for term is found by the “Find on this page” command. Is there such a mathod?

Any pointers as to where I might look for the answer?

Thank you,

TPK
