I'm using Acrobat 9 Standard version 9.4.2 with Windows XP SP 3. I used to be able to print with no issues, but suddenly I can no longer print by clicking the Print button on the toolbar or by selecting File menu > Print.
In both cases, the Print window opens and I can select a printer and make other changes, but when I click OK, nothing happens. No error message appears, and I do not get the print icon in my task tray.
I can, however, print a PDF document by browsing to it in Explorer, and instead of opening it, I right-click and then click Print on the context menu.
I've unsuccessfully tried printing from the Print button and the File menu with two different HP laser printers (both of which I'd used before without issue). I can print documents of other file types to these printers. My coworker can print a PDF to these printers using the Print button on the toolbar.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Exact same problem here. Adobe Standard 9.4.2, printing PDF files appears to succed but nothing in the Queue. Have tried with 2 different local IP printers. Right clicking and choosing"Print" from the fly-out menu will successfuly print to the default printers. Windows XP SP3, on Domain.
I have a user that just started experiencing this problem. I will probably have to reinstall the application to get it working again . . . maybe. We are running XP Pro and he is using Acrobat 9.4.2 Pro.
