Extension Manager CS5 on Windows 7 Home Premium

Mar 10, 2011 4:27 PM

I cannot get Extension Manager CS5 to play fair with DW CS5 ("This extension cannot be installed, it requires Dreamweaver version 8 or greater") when I try to install an extension from any developer. I use a critical handful from Web Assist and have even tried to load one from Adobe loc=en_us&extid=1739525

This happened when I upgraded my computer to Windows 7 Home Premium so should I take Adobe to heart when it says the requirement for EM CS5 is, " System Requirements - The Extension Manager CS5 requires Mac OS X 10.5-10.6.2 or Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or Service Pack 3; Windows Vista Home Premium, Business, Enterprise with Service Pack 1 or Service Pack 2; Windows 7 Enterprise, Ultimate with 1GB of RAM, 1,024x768 display with 16-bit video card, and at least one of the following products... "?

I am willing to try upgrading to Windows 7 Ultimate from Windows 7 Home Premium, a possible $169 shot-in-the-dark.
