Can you make an InDesign CS5 interactive presentation automatically transisition from one page to the next? I have a 15 page presentation that I want to transisition automatically once the first page opens.

I don't believe there is a way to make either an interactive PDF or an interactive SWF exported out of InDesign self-running. It requires intervention to move from page to page.

I think it would require Adobe Flash Professional.

What kind of presentation: PDF or SWF?

Animations can be looped, repeating them on a page. But I haven't heard of a way with an InDesign-created SWF of turning pages without intervention. I'd be happy to be proven wrong!

I'd be happy if you were proven wrong, too.

The only thing I can think of to work around this limitation is creating the pages on layers.

Create the first "page" and set up all the animations. Then group everything and set up an exit animation for that group.

Then create a new layer for the second "page" and do it all over again.

I posted some time ago a kind of solution for that. Go to http://www.edocker.com/support/edocker-freebies/ and scroll down to number 2.... there´s instructions and download link to my free autopageturn solution for indesign cs5...

You can download it from my dropbox:

    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/17227987/PageTurnerV4.zip

Overwrite issue.swf with your own InDesign SWF, use exactly same name.

Open index.html to your browser for testing.

    Hi Petteri!

At first let me say thank you for your very fastd reply.

    I totally appreciate this!

    I downloaded and tested it.

It works, but for some reason it starts again until the whole presentation is over.

i got 4 pages and at the very beginning of the fourth page it goes straight back to page 1.

(If i run the swf file without your workaround - I can watch it until the end)
Do you have an idea what the problem might be?

Furthermore - I don´t want to loop the swf file. How can i turn the loop off?

There´s a checkbox called loop on the footer. If you uncheck it, slideshow stops at the last page.

    Hi Petteri,

I see the footer just for a mili-second until the "movie" starts.
So, I even didn´t have the chance to see the default settings.

I opened the index.html in Dreamweaver but also didn´t found the right place.

I created a second "movie" and give it a try.

With this second movie your workflow works perfectly. (It also didn´t loop the swf)

So i guess - it has probably nothing to do with the "loop seetings" like shown on your screenshot

I just can´t find, what the problem is with the other movie.

As i said, if i run the SAME SWF file with the standard-html it works perfectly, except that i have to turn the pages manually.

If i run this SWF file with your Index.thml it the pages turns automatically but on the beginning of the page 4 animation it switches back to the first page.
