Right-Click in the layers palette

I can't believe that Adobe seems to think that it's not worth making anything in the layers palette right-clickable. It's very odd to right-click a layer have NOTHING happen. No delete layer, no hide layer, no add current selection to layer...it's baffling to have to do everything using the drop down menus or keyboard shortcuts. Feels very version 1.0 - and this is supposed to be version 15?!! Come on Adobe! Illustrator still feels like it's not really part of the Adobe family at all. It's certainly a very distant, ugly cousin of Photoshop and After Effects.
