problem with air application installer on Fedora 15 linux

Hi,

 

I installed Air on 64 bit fedora 15 alpha, but I can't install any Air application. The Install.log contains information about missing parseSoec symbol in librpmbuild.so

n Error: Error creating the package /opt/Adobe AIR/Versions/1.0/Resources/rpmbuilder error : symbol not found: parseSpec, /usr/lib/librpmbuild.so: undefined symbol: parseSpec error :

 

 

 

I have installed:

Any solution?

    Moved to the installations issues forum.  I'll ping our Linux team to take a look and see if they have any advice.

    Hi

    Can you create a soft link "librpmbuild.so" to any version of librpmbuild you have in your /usr/lib/ and try again?

    There is nothing more I can softlink to:

    In the meantime I reported the bug on the fedora bugzilla, here is the answer given by Fedora team:

     

    I tried to use old 32 bit  librpmbuild.so.1, and LD_PRELOAD, but without any success now:

    I was wondering if you guys have found any solution to this issue yet? I'm on Fedora 15 RC and having problems with installing Adobe Air Applications. Got latest Flash and Air installed. Downloaded from adobe.com

    Have you heard anything back from the Linux team on this? This is a serious problem which is completely preventing Adobe AIR applications from installing on Fedora 15.

    From the limited information I can gather, this issue prevents AIR from interacting with the new version of the RPM subsystem, which is required to install any AIR application. Therefore, if this problem is not fixed, it will affect all RPM-based distributions moving forward.

     

    Please let us know if there are any fixes pending or available for testing.
