separate revised parts

I have these 12 page documents, and when I upload them there are a lot of parts. So when I do a revision, and upload all the parts, it gets hard to navigate.

 

It would be helpful if there was a way to archive the old parts, and only show he newest file. And if collaterators want to dig back, they can still do it and look at the old comments.

 

Or is there a better way of doing this? Like creating a shared workspace, and making each revision a new document?
