It appears OK in the browser though I didn't try to work with it there. I need to use it offline. It does generate an unsupported browser message. When I click on the desktop download in the browser window it tells me I need Air even though it was installed. The download then fails with a simple 'failed' error message. It does this is Air is uninstalled too.

Just followed the installer downloaded all the way through. It fails with the message 'Couldn't write the application to the hard disk. Please veryify the hard disk is abailable and try again.' Is there nowhere I can download just Adobe Story?

It isn't usable in the Xoom browser btw. Clicking in an editing field doesn't bring up the keyboard and you can't scroll the page as far as I can see. This is with the standard browser - maybe Firefox would be different.

Just tried it on Galaxy Tab Froyo 2.2. Same issue - wants to download the whole package even though Air is already uninstalled. As far as I can see Story is unusable on Android. Is this correct?

Hi david,

I just digged more around this issue.

on xoom (or any android device) you must be having air mobile runtime, which is a light version of full air run time.

On this runtime normal air installers won't run, a specific installer which is a .apk installer is required for this.

Currently this feature is on our product backlog, we will let you know once it's ready.

OK - thanks. Can't download those files direct I'm afraid. I don't think android browsers do that. All you get is a page full of junk.

Actually Firefox will download the air file but then there appears to be no way of installing it.

.AIR files can not be installed directly on Android tablet or phone. Application will need to be re-packaged. However we still have some outstanding issues to resolve before the app starts being useful on Xoom or any other android tablet.

Its not that simple. The UI of the application also has to change to provide a great user experience on the Xoom. Imagine trying to access a menu item on the small screen.

So… supporting Androind or iOS will require more work.
